Southeast Gets Taste Of Dying Depression

The remnants of a tropical depression poured heavy rain on theSoutheast Sunday, causing flooding in North Carolina. Rain wasscattered from Arizona to New England.

Showers and thunderstorms ranged from southern Arizona intocentral Colorado. Storms also developed along a frontal systemmoving across the upper Midwest, with a storm in western North Dakotadropping large hail near Stanley, west of Minot.

In New England, scattered showers developed over Vermont and NewHampshire and moved across Massachusetts.

Answer: (A). Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center inMiami generally regard New Orleans as the most threatened city.
