SA: Three young children unhurt, but woman, 24, dead

A 24-year-old woman has died after the car she was travelling in hit a tree near Port
Pirie in South Australia's mid-north last night.

Police say the woman died when the car left Light's Road on the outskirts of Port Pirie
just after midnight.

They say three children, all aged under six years, were admitted to Port Pirie Hospital for
observation, but appear unhurt.

The male driver is in hospital with leg injuries.

South Australia's road toll now stands at 105, compared with 117 for the same time last
year.
