SA: Police arrest prison escapees

Police have captured two men who escaped from the Port Lincoln prison, on South Australia's
Eyre Peninsula, overnight.

BILL POWER of the state's Correctional Services Department says the pair were found in the
Port Lincoln city centre this afternoon and arrested peacefully.

He says the prisoners, aged 21 and 22, are not regarded as violent.

It's believed the prisoners escaped over a wire-topped wall.

The escape came just hours before state Correctional Services Minister ROBERT BROKENSHIRE
made a scheduled visit to the prison.
